Men's Offense – Martin Herrera, Concordia University (Forward)
Martin Herrera of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Herrera, a senior from Quito, Ecuador, Martin Herrera tallied three goals and an assist on the week as the Bulldogs earned road wins over Doane and Waldorf. With the help of Herrera's attacking exploits, Concordia produced its highest single game goal total (10) since 2016. Herrera pushed his team high goal count to eight on the season.
Men's Defense – Hugo Sjoeberg, Midland University (Keeper)
Hugo Sjoeberg of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Sjoeberg, a sophomore from Kiel, Germany, picked up two wins this week in goal for the Warriors as they made their way into a tie atop the GPAC standings. On Wednesday, he had seven saves as Midland earned its first regular season win at Hastings since 2013. He followed up that gutsy performance with a shutout win at Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday. This season, he leads the conference in saves (81) and is second in save percentage (.771).
