Week 2: GPAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played August 26-Sept. 1, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Men's Offense – Hugo Garcia-Rosado Duran, Midland University (Forward)

Hugo Garcia-Rosado Duran of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Garcia, a junior from Barcelona, Spain, scored his first hat trick as a Warrior as Midland battled back to beat Grand View on the road this week. The transfer from North Iowa CC has four goals in four games this season. He had a goal and an assist in his first game of the season.

Men's Defense – Nolan Fuelberth, Concordia University (Keeper)

Nolan Fuelberth of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Fuelberth, a junior, from Lincoln, Nebraska, made eight saves while helping Concordia earn a 1-1 draw at No. 17 Columbia (Mo.) on Aug. 31. Four of those saves came in the second half as the Bulldogs preserved the tie with the perennially strong NAIA opponent. Fuelberth has allowed only one goal in 180 minutes of action this season.
