Week 1: GPAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played August 19-25, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week

Men's Offense – Alex Ruiz, Northwestern College (Forward)

Alex Ruiz of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Ruiz, a senior, from Valencia, Spain, played a part in each goal for the Red Raiders in a 4-0 win over Culver-Stockton. He finished with a hat trick as well as assisting on the other goal for Northwestern.

Men's Defense – Nolan Fuelberth, Concordia University (Keeper)

Nolan Fuelberth of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Fuelberth, a junior, from Lincoln, Nebraska, picked up where he left off last season, pitching a shutout, in a 5-0 win over Avila University. He finished the contest with a pair of saves.
