Week 8: GPAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week

The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men?s Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played October 9-15, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2023-2024 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Men's Offense – Guillem Colom, Doane University (Forward)
Guillem Colom of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Colom, a junior, from Barcelona, Spain, scored one goal and added two assists as Doane earned their first team point in the conference standings against Hastings since 2004 (21 straight losses). The team's four goals are the most against the Broncos in the series' history and it was the first time since 2007 that the team had multiple goals in a game against Hastings.
Men's Defense – Hunter Birozy, Dakota Wesleyan University (Keeper)
Hunter Birozy of Dakota Wesleyan University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Birozy, a senior, from Norco, California, totaled 15 saves and allowed no goals in shutout wins over Mount Marty Waldorf. Birozy made eight saves in the Tigers 2-0 win against Waldorf and had seven in the 2-0 victory over Mount Marty.
