Week 2: GPAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men’s Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played August 28-September 3, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2023-2024 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Men's Offense – Jacob Narkis, Dordt University (Forward)
Jacob Narkis of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Narkis, a sophomore, from Watertown, Wisconsin, recorded his first career hat-trick in the Defenders 18-0 win over Union College. Narkis also registered a pair of assists for a total of eight points. Narkis followed with another three points in Dordt's 4-0 win against Central Baptist. Narkis scored the Defenders third goal and assisted on the final one in leading his team to its third straight win.
Men's Defense – Samuel Montanez, Doane University (Keeper)
Samuel Montanez of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Montanez, a junior, from Columbia, posted a pair of wins in goal for the Tigers with two road shutouts. He collected seven saves on the week. He is 2-1-2 on the season with a 1.20 goals against average
