Hastings Picked in 2023 GPAC Preseason Men’s Soccer
(Sioux City, Iowa) – Hastings College totaled 118 points for first place in the 2023 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Preseason Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Poll. The Broncos garnered eight of twelve first place votes. Hastings wasthe 2022 GPAC regular season and tournament men’s soccer champions.
(Sioux City, Iowa) – Hastings College totaled 118 points for first place in the 2023 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Preseason Men's Soccer Coaches' Poll. The Broncos garnered eight of twelve first place votes. Hastings was the 2022 GPAC regular season and tournament men's soccer champions.
Concordia was picked second with 110 points and three first place votes while Midland was picked third with one first place vote and 89 points. Morningside and Northwestern round out the top five respectively.
In 2022 Hastings went 10-0-1 in GPAC play and posted an overall record of 16-2-2. Both Hastings and Northwestern advanced to the NAIA Soccer opening round.
The 2023 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship will on November 27-December 4, at the Stryker Soccer Complex in Wichita, Kansas. Opening rounds will be November 16-18 on campus sites. The GPAC will receive two automatic bids to the NAIA Postseason in 2023.
The 2023 GPAC men's soccer season schedule will consist of eleven (11) league games as all 12 teams will compete for the conference crown. Waldorf University will join the GPAC as an affiliate member in men's and women's soccer in 2023.
