Men's Offense – Sandro Rubio, Hastings College (Midfielder)
Sandro Rubio of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Rubio, a junior from Mexico City, Mexico, scored the biggest goal of his career after a header on goal was sent back in his direction, he then did a half bicycle kick over the keeper's head and into the side net to score in the 108th minute. This proved to be the game winner to defeat upset minded Mount Marty on Thursday in the GPAC quarterfinals.
Men's Defense – Gabriel Mendoza, Concordia University (Keeper)
Gabriel Mendoza of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Mendoza, a sophomore from Fuengirola, Spain, made five saves while earning the clean sheet in last week's 2-0 GPAC quarterfinal win over Briar Cliff. Mendoza owns a record of 6-0-1 this season as a keeper. Concordia has advanced to host Dordt in the GPAC semifinals.
