Week 8: Men's Soccer Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played October 10-16, 2022. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Men's Offense – Austin Shafer, University of Jamestown (Forward)
Austin Shafer of the University of Jamestown is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Shafer, a senior from Jamestown, North Dakota, had a hat trick in the Jimmies 5-3 win over Mount Marty. He found the back of the net once via penalty kick. It was his second hat trick of the season. He now has 12 goals on the year, putting him just two goals away from the Jamestown single-season record for goals scored.
Men's Defense – Brendan Dally, Hastings College (Keeper)
Brendan Dally of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Dally, a senior from Johannesburg, South Africa, single handedly earned the Broncos a point by making at least three outstanding saves in the 1-1 tie with Concordia. He finished the week with 10 saves with eight coming in the match against Concordia.
