Week 6: Men's Soccer Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played September 26-October 2, 2022. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Men's Offense – Dominic Abdel-Ahad, Concordia University (Forward)
Dominic Abdel-Ahad of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Abdel-Ahad, a senior from Duesseldorf, Germany, turned in a hat trick as part of the 6-1 win over Dakota Wesleyan. He also assisted a goal in Concordia's 3-2 win last week at Midland. Abdel-Ahad ran his team leading goal count this season to six.
Men's Defense – Matthew Ricci, Midland University (Keeper)
Matthew Ricci of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Ricci, a senior from Olathe, Kansas, picked up a clean sheet in his first start of the season. He had seven saves in net as Midland earned a 0-0 draw with Bellevue on Saturday. It was his fourth career shutout and his first since freshman season.
