Week 5: Men's Soccer Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played September 19-25, 2022. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Men's Offense – Blake Hansen, Dordt University (Forward)
Blake Hansen of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Hansen, a junior, from Broomfield, Colorado, helped lead the Defenders to wins over Concordia and Midland. He totaled five points for the week, scoring two goals, including the game-winner, in his team's 4-3 win against Concordia. Hansen followed that with an assist on Dordt's game-winning goal against Midland on Saturday. Hansen leads the Defenders with four goals and nine points and his team is off to its best start since 2011.
Men's Defense – Mitchell Dryden, Dordt University (Keeper)
Mitchell Dryden of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Dryden, a junior from La Crescent, Minnesota, was key to the Defenders to a 1-0 victory over previously unbeaten Midland. Dryden made nine saves against the Warriors enroute to his fourth shutout the season. He ranks first in the GPAC in goals against average (.4 / game). Dordt improved to 2-0-1 in the GPAC, 4-2-3 overall, its best start since the 2011 season.
