Week 8: GPAC Golfers of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following golfers-of-the-week for March 24-30, 2025.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Golfers-of-the-Week

Women – Ashton Austreim, Dakota Wesleyan University
Ashton Austreim, of Dakota Wesleyan University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Golfer-of-the-Week. Austreim, a junior from Brookings, South Dakota, helped the Tigers claim first at the Briar Cliff match play tournament that consisted of individual one on one plays, with scores that tallied up to a combined team score. She delivered solid results with her winning her match against Emily Fauble, a 3 and 1 overall win, and 3 out of 3 points earned.

Men – Jackson Laven, Northwestern College
Jackson Laven of Northwestern College is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Golfer-of-the-Week. Laven, a senior from Okoboji, Iowa, paced the Raiders with a fifth-place finish, his second of the year. He tied his career-best with a 66 in the first round, just one stroke behind the best round in program history.
