Week 4: GPAC Golfers of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following golfers-of-the-week for October 14-20, 2024.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Golfers-of-the-Week

Women – Allison Meyerink, Dakota Wesleyan University
Allison Meyerink of Dakota Wesleyan University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Golfer-of-the-Week. Meyerink, a freshman from Mitchell, South Dakota, claimed the top spot at the Battle at the Dance Tournament with a total score of 156. It was her second tournament win in as many weeks.

Men – Gabriel Escalera, Hastings College
Gabriel Escalera of Hastings College is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Golfer-of-the-Week. Escalera, a senior from Sahuarita, Arizona, tied the school record in round one and round three with a 5-under score. Escalera has five of the seven total rounds of 5-under in school history for the Broncos. His 54-hole score at 9-under broke his own school record by two strokes and broke the 54-hole tournament record at Raindance.
