Week 3: GPAC Golfers of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following golfers-of-the-week for October 7-13, 2024.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Golfers-of-the-Week

Women – Allison Meyerink, Dakota Wesleyan University
Allison Meyerink of Dakota Wesleyan University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Golfer-of-the-Week. Meyerink, a freshman from Mitchell, South Dakota, claimed the top spot at the Mustang Derby Invite in Sioux City, Iowa, with a total score of 147. Her strong play included consistent shot-making and effective course management, allowing her to navigate the challenging layout to help the Tigers to a second-place team finish.

Men – Ryan Cavanaugh, Morningside University
Ryan Cavanaugh of Morningside University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Golfer-of-the-Week. Cavanaugh, a sophomore from Reno, Nevada, led the Mustangs to the team title of their home Mustang Derby, played at hilly Whispering Creek Golf Club. He tied for second place with a total of 146, going even in round one and two over in round two.
