Week 11: GPAC Men's Basketball Players of the Week

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Basketball Players-of-the-Week
Offensive – Tristan Smith, Concordia University (Forward)
Tristan Smith of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball offensive player-of-the-week. Smith, a senior from Elizabeth, Colorado, racked up a combined 53 points as Concordia defeated Doane and Briar Cliff on the road and extended its GPAC winning streak to seven. Smith's 37 points in the overtime win at Briar Cliff represented a career-high. Smith was an ultra-efficient 73.3 percent (22-for-30) from the floor on the week. He is averaging 20.4 points per game this season.
Defensive – Jake Orr, Midland University (Guard)
Jake Orr of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball defensive player-of-the-week. Orr, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, had back-to-back double-doubles this week as Midland won a pair of conference road games. He pulled down 10 rebounds to go with three steals in the Warriors' win at Hastings and then secured a game-high 11 rebounds in the upset win at No. 14 Morningside on Saturday. Offensively, he also reached 1,000 career points this week.
