Offensive – Matthew Stilwill, Briar Cliff University (Guard)
Matthew Stilwill of Briar Cliff University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball offensive player-of-the-week. Stilwill, a senior from Johnston, Iowa, helped Briar Cliff to a split on the week. He scored 27 points in a 72-69 win over Bellevue (Dec. 4). Stilwill was 10-of-10 from the line including hitting three charity tosses with 1.9 seconds left for the win. He followed that with 23 points in a 87-74 loss to Concordia. Stilwill has hit his last 16 free throws.
Defensive – Ben Fairclough, Dordt University (Forward)
Ben Fairclough of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball defensive player-of-the-week. Fairclough, a senior from Perth, Austrailia, averaged four blocked shots per game with 6.5 defensive rebounds per contest in a pair of wins. He currently leads the conference in blocks per game with 2.3 and ranks fourth in the NAIA.
