Week 13: GPAC Basketball Players of the Week

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Basketball Players-of-the-Week
Women – Molly Schany, Northwestern College (Forward)
Molly Schany of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women's basketball player-of-the-week. Schany, a senior from Emmetsburg, Iowa, averaged a double-double in two Red Raider wins last week. On Wednesday, the senior scored 23 points and pulled down a career-high 19 rebounds in a crucial win at Briar Cliff. On Saturday, also on the road, Schany scored a game-high 26 points to go with seven boards and a block.
Men – Reggie Thomas, Hastings College (Guard)
Reggie Thomas of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball player-of-the-week. Thomas, a sophomore from Omaha, Nebraska, averaged 29.5 points per game on the week, while also averaging 7.5 rebounds per game. In a pair of wins for the Broncos he broke a 42-year-old record by setting the new sophomore single season scoring record, eclipsing the old mark of 590 points. Thomas currently has the record with 635 points so far this season.
