Week 1: GPAC Basketball Players of the Week

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Basketball Players-of-the-Week
Women – Mak Hatcliff, Doane University (Guard)
Mak Hatcliff of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women's basketball player-of-the-week. Hatcliff, a junior from Beatrice, Nebraska, broke the single-game Doane scoring record with 46 points in a road win at Peru State. In the game, she set the school record for free throws made, going 17-of-17, and field goal percentage in a game (70%). Her 20 points in the 4th quarter helped erase a 10-point deficit with 6:49 to play. She recorded a double-double, adding 14 rebounds in the game. Hatcliff then added 24 points in a road win at York. For the week, she averaged 35.0 points on 72.7-percent shooting from the floor.
Men – Silas Bennion, University of Jamestown (Guard)
Silas Bennion of the University of Jamestown is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball player-of-the-week. Bennion, a junior from Eugene, Oregon, came off the bench to average 24.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for Jamestown last week. He scored 38 points and had nine rebounds in 33 minutes in an 87-82 OT loss at Dickinson State.
