Week 8: GPAC Football Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following football players-of-the-week for games played the week of October 13-19, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-26 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/ Football Players-of-the-Week
Offense – Adam Van Cleave, Wide Receiver (Concordia University)
Concordia wide receiver Adam Van Cleave is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Van Cleave, a senior from Columbus, Nebraska, filled a variety of roles as part of Concordia's 32-29 win at Hastings. A third-year receiver for the Bulldogs, he started at running back in place of the injured Carlos Collazo and rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown. He also notched 13 receptions for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Van Cleave scored the game-winning touchdown on a 26-yard pass from Gideon Stark with 0:32 remaining. Van Cleave is the first Concordia player to eclipse 100 yards rushing and receiving in the same game since Bryce Collins in 2015. The Bulldogs travel to Morningside on October 25. Kickoff will be at 1 pm.
Defense – Jordan Carter, Defensive Back (Northwestern College)
Defensive Back Jordan Carter of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Carter, a freshman from St, Louis, Missouri, had a pair of interceptions on the day. He scored on a pick-six and intercepted a ball in the end zone, securing Northwestern's 14-13 win over No. 4 Morningside. He now has two interception returns for touchdowns on the year. The Raiders have the week off before traveling to Midland on November 1.
Special Teams – Peyton Atwood, Kicker (Concordia University)
Peyton Atwood of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week. Atwood, a junior from Grand Island, Nebraska, scored 14 points in Concordia's 32-29 win at Hastings. He went 4-for-4 on field goals while making kicks from 34, 38, 20 and 37 yards, respectively. With two successful PATs, Atwood became the program's all-time leader for career PATs (109). The Bulldogs travel to Morningside on October 25. Kickoff will be at 1 pm.
