Morningside Wins 2024 GPAC Football Championship

(Sioux City, Iowa) - Morningside University is the 2024 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Football Champions.  The Mustangs posted a 10-0 league record this fall to win the title and the automatic berth to the NAIA Football Championship Series (FCS).  

Morningside closed the regular season with a 56-3 win over Dakota Wesleyan.  Ranked sixth in the latest NAIA Poll the Mustangs close the regular season with a 10-1 record.

The 20-team NAIA Football Championship Series will be announced on Sunday night by the NAIA.  12 teams will receive byes next week, with eight teams playing on November 23 to advance four teams to the Round of 16 on Novvember 30.

The 2024 NAIA Football Championship Game is December 21 in Durham, North Caroline,  at Durham County Memorial Stadium.
