Week 4: GPAC Football Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following football players-of-the-week for games played the week of September 16-22, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-25 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/ Football Players-of-the-Week
Offense – Zack Chevalier, Quarterback (Morningside University)
Morningside quarterback Zack Chevalier is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Chevalier, a junior from Santa Clarita, California, threw for 415 yards and a pair of scores in this week's 70-0 victory. He connected on 23-of-31 pass attempts, with a long of 45 yards. The Mustangs travel to take on Mount Marty on September 28. Kick off will be at 1 pm.
Defense – Parker Fryar, Linebacker (Northwestern College)
Linebacker Parker Fryar of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Fryar, a senior from Waukee, Iowa, was a force defensively, totaling 12 tackles with one interception and a tackle for loss. He has reached double figures in tackles in back-to-back weeks and currently sits tied for second in the conference in tackles per game (9.7). The Red Raiders travel to take on Doane on September 28. Kick off will be at 1 pm.
Special Teams – Josiah Gaetani, Returner/Defensive Back (Mount Marty University)
Josiah Gaetani of Mount Marty University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week. Gaetani, a senior from Montgomery, Texas, made the most of his opportunity in special teams. He had a 87-yard punt return for a touchdown against Waldorf. He also added a pair of tackles, including on tackle for loss. The Lancers will host Morningside on September 28. Kick off will be at 1 pm.
