Week 3: GPAC Football Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following football players-of-the-week for games played the week of September 9-15, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-25 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/ Football Players-of-the-Week
Offense – Mark Arp, Running Back (Concordia University)
Concordia running back Mark Arp is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Arp, a senior from McCook, Nebraska, produced a career high 210 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries in Concordia's 42-7 road win over Dakota Wesleyan. In addition, Arp caught two passes for 15 yards. With that performance, Arp rose to the top of the GPAC season leaderboard in rushing yards with 357. He also eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards for his collegiate career. The Bulldogs will travel to Sioux City, Iowa to take on Briar Cliff on September 21. Kick off will be at 1 pm.
Defense – Treden Davis-Reed, Linebacker (Midland University)
Linebacker Treden Davis-Reed of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Davis-Reed, a senior from Spokane, Washington, made his mark all over the defensive side of the ball on Saturday. He led the team with nine total tackles, forced and recovered a fumble, and had an interception as Midland nearly upset No. 14 Morningside at home. He has led the Warriors in tackles every game this season and is averaging 8.3 stops per contest. The Warriors travel to take on Northwestern College on September 21. Kick off will be at 1 pm.
Special Teams – Kelen Meyer, Kicker (Doane University)
Kelen Meyer of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week. Meyer, a junior from Ord, Nebraska, converted two first half field goals (23 and 38 yards) and was 2-for-2 on extra point attempts. In addition, five of his six kickoffs went for touchbacks in Doane's first win of the season. The Tigers travel to Sioux City to take on Morningside on September 21. Kick off will be at 1 pm.
