Week 11: Football Players-of-the-Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following football players-of-the-week for games played the week of November 7-13, 2022. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-23 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/ Football Players-of-the-Week
Offense – Ryan Cole, Running Back (Morningisde University)
Morningside running back Ryan Cole is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Cole, a sophomore from Saint Ansgar, Iowa, rushed for 216 yards and four touchdowns against Concordia. He carried the ball 30 times, averaging 7.2 yards per carry. He also hauled in four passes for 90 yards and another touchdown. The top-ranked Mustangs will host Arizona Christian University on November 19 in the first round of the NAIA Football Championship Series. Kick off will be at noon.
Defense – Noah Van't Hof, Defensive Back (Northwestern College)
Defensive Back Noah Van't Hof of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Van't Hof, a senior, from Lester, Iowa, recorded one interception (returned for 37 yards) and a scoop-and-score of a fumble (43 yards) in No. 3 Northwestern's 41-10 over Hastings. He also recorded four tackles and one tackle for loss. The third-ranked Raiders will host Dickinson State in Orange City, Iowa, in the first round of the NAIA Football Championship Series. Kick off will be at noon.
Special Teams – Chase Carter, Kicker (Morningside University)
Chase Carter of Morningside University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week. Carter, a senior from Knoxville, Iowa, was 2-for-2 on field goals in a 55-18 win over Concordia, connecting on a long of 45-yards. He was also a perfect 7-of-7 on PATs this week. The top-ranked Mustangs will host Arizona Christian University on November 19 in the first round of the NAIA Football Championship Series. Kick off will be at noon.
