2022 GPAC Cheer and Dance Honors Announced
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The 2022 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Cheer and Dance All-Conference Team has been selected.
DeMarquez Frazier from Midland University was selected as the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cheer Athlete-of-the-Year and Alisyn Bardsley from Midland University has been selected as the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Dance Athlete-of-the-Year
To be selected to the All-Conference teams the student-athletes needed to perform a set of skills as outlined by the NAIA Cheer and Dance Coaches' Handbook. A minimum score on these skills (as judged) was required for selection to the teams.
Mel Knobloch from Dordt and Kayla Rojas from Midland were named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cheer Coaches-of-the-Year. Ashley Lyon from Doane was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Dance Coach-of-the-Year.
The Midland Cheer and Morningside Dance teams won the GPAC Championships on Friday and Saturday, February 25-26, at Doane University in Crete, Nebraska.
