Midland Claims 2022 GPAC Cheer Championship

(Crete, Nebraska) – Midland University posted a total score of 86.73 and won the 2022 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Cheer Championship on Saturday in Crete, Nebraska. The event, which was also the NAIA Northwest Group Qualifier, was hosted by Doane University at the Haddix Center on campus. Midland earns the automatic berth to the NAIA National Cheer Championship by placing first.

Doane placed second with 85.42, while Hastings was third with 76.05.

The NAIA National Championships will be in Ypsilanti, Michigan, hosted by the Ann Arbor Sports Commission & Concordia University Ann Arbor on March 11-12, 2022.

The GPAC Cheer All-Conference Team will be released next week.
