2018 GPAC Cheer and Dance Championships this Saturday

(Hastings, Nebraska) – The second annual Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Cheer and Dance Championship(s), presented by Cypress Risk Management, are this Saturday, February 10, in Hastings, Nebraska, hosted by Hastings College.
Competition will begin on Saturday at Noon at Lynn Farrell Arena on the Hastings College campus. This year the competition will once again consist of dance and stunt cheer.
Teams will alternate through the competition with their dance and/or cheer routines.

The GPAC Cheer and Dance Awards Ceremony will follow the GPAC All-Conference Individual Auditions
*2017-18 will be the first year that GPAC Cheer and Dance will have individual All-Conference honors.
In 2017 Midland won the GPAC Dance Championship, while Morningside was the 2017 GPAC Cheer Champion. Midland University was the 2017 NAIA National Dance Champion.
2017-18 is the first year that the University of Jamestown joins the GPAC for Cheer and Dance as an Affiliate Member. UJ will be a full member starting in 2018-19.
Morningside College will host the 2018 NAIA Competitive Cheer & Dance Northwest Group Qualifier on Friday, February 23, in Sioux City, Iowa, at the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center/Allee Gymnasum.
The NAIA National Championship(s) will be in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at Oklahoma City University on March 9-10, 2018.
