Week 8: GPAC Baseball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following baseball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played March 24-30, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Baseball Weekly Honors

Pitcher – Drew Dykstra, Northwestern College

Drew Dykstra of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week. Dykstra, senior from Urbandale, Iowa, threw a complete-game shutout in Friday's 6-0 win at Hastings. He only allowed two hits and struck out six batters to improve to 6-0 on the year. Dykstra currently leads the GPAC in ERA (1.29), strikeouts (57), and wins (6).

Player – Jaidan Quinn, Concordia University (Third Base)

Concordia University third baseman Jaidan Quinn is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports baseball player-of-the-week. Quinn, a senior from Bonner Springs, Kansas, went 3-for-5 (reached base in seven of nine plate appearances) as part of Concordia's doubleheader sweep of Waldorf. In game two of the twin bill, Quinn blasted three home runs and pulled even with Joey Grabanski for the program's all-time home run record (88). On the season, Quinn leads the GPAC in home runs (15), RBIs (43) and slugging percentage (.920).
