Week 7: GPAC Baseball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following baseball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played March 17-23, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Baseball Weekly Honors

Pitcher – Braxton Greenburg, Concordia University

Braxton Greenburg of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week. Greenburg, senior from Plymouth, Minnesota, allowed just a single run over two outings over the past week. In his matchups with Northwestern and Doane, Greenburg covered 12.2 innings and surrendered only seven hits and two walks while racking up 20 strikeouts. His 13 strikeouts in 7.2 shutout innings at Doane represented a career-high. As a team, 22nd-ranked Concordia went 5-1 on the week.

Player – Shugo Kondo, Mount Marty University (Catcher)

Mount Marty University catcher Shugo Kondo is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports baseball player-of-the-week. Kondo, a senior from Tokai Kofu, Japan, had an average of .833 over the weekend. He hit a two-run home run in his one at-bat against Waldorf to give the Lancers the lead. Kondo added five RBI in three games while scoring twice.
