Week 4: GPAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

Field Events – Kiara Anderson, Hastings College
Kiara Anderson of Hastings College is this week's field athlete-of-the-week. Anderson, a senior from Mesa, Arizona, competed Saturday at the KT Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State University where she won the hammer throw with NAIA "A" standard national qualifying throw of 54.20m (177'10"). She then went on to finish fourth in the discus with another "A" standard national qualifying throw of 46.36m. This was a season best and moves her to the top of the GPAC. Finally she threw 13.27m in the shot put to finish fifth and was the top NAIA finisher.
Track Events – Katie Vogt, Doane University
Doane University's Kate Vogt is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Vogt, a sophomore from Pierce, Nebraska, ran a personal best time in the 400m run and clocked a NAIA automatic qualifying time of 55.86, 11th-fastest in the NAIA this season. She ran the third leg of the 4x100m relay team that ran a school-record time of 46.65 an posted the seventh-fastest time in the NAIA this season.
