Quarterfinals Complete in GPAC Women's Soccer Tournament
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Women’s Soccer Tournament opened on Thursday, November 2, 2023, with quarterfinal round action around the league. Tuesday’s semifinals are now set at the top two seeds in the tournament.
Top seed Hastings posted a 3-0 win at home over eighth seeded Dakota Wesleyan, while fourth seed Dordt was a 3-2 winner over the fifth seed Morningside on the top half of the bracket. Three seed Midland won at home over sixth seed College of Saint Mary 4-0, and two seed Concordia posted a 2-1 win over seventh seed Jamestown on the bottom of the bracket.
The semifinals will be played on Tuesday, November 7, with the finals on Friday, November 10.
The winner of the GPAC Tournament will advance, as the league's second automatic representative, to the NAIA National Women's Soccer National Championship Opening Round (on November 16-18). If the regular season champion (Hastings) wins the Tournament, Concordia (as two seed), will receive the second NAIA berth to the postseason.
The NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Final Site is in Foley, Alabama, November 27 – December 4, 2023, at Championship Stadium.
