Week 8: GPAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Women’s Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played October 9-15, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2023-2024 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week
Women's Offense – Kierstynn Garner, Concordia University (Forward)
Kierstynn Garner of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Garner, a sophomore from Kearney, Nebraska, notched two goals and an assist last week as Concordia defeated College of Saint Mary, 2-0, and tied No. 22 Hastings, 2-2, on the road. Garner continues to lead the GPAC in goals with 15 on the season. Garner's two goals at Hastings allowed the Bulldogs to erase what had been a 2-0 deficit.
Women's Defense – Isabella Gregg, Dakota Wesleyan University (Keeper)
Isabella Gregg of Dakota Wesleyan University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Gregg, a junior from Moreno Valley, California, posted two shutout wins on the week. She had six saves in a 1-0 shutout win against Waldorf and backed that up with a 4-0 shutout win against Mount Marty. She now has a record of 4-1-0 on the season.
