Week 1: GPAC Softball Players of the Week

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors
Pitcher – Faith Molina, Doane University
Faith Molina of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week. Molina, a sophomore from Hastings, Nebraska, went 3-0 with a save in 22.0 innings of work. She posted a 1.91 ERA and struck out 24 batters on the week. On the season, she is 4-1 with a 1.80 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 35.0 innings.
Player – Payton Cooley, Doane University (Infield)
Payton Cooley of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports softball player-of-the-week. Cooley, a senior from Elkhorn, Nebraska, hit .769 as Doane went 5-1 on the week. She reached base in all six games and had multi-hit games in her four starts. In the final game of the weekend, she had a pinch-hit three-run home run to help lift Doane over Bethel, 7-5. Cooley was also clean defensively, turning all 16 opportunities she had into outs.
