2024 GPAC Men's Basketball Tournament Semifinals Set
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The semifinal round of the 2024 IMA Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Basketball Tournament is set after Wednesday Quarterfinal Round action.
Top seed Northwestern was a 78-65 winner over #8 seed Dakota Wesleyan, while fourth seed Morningside won over #5 Jamestown 89-72. On the opposite side of the bracket two seed Hastings defeated #7 Briar Cliff 76-61, and three seed Concordia advanced over #6 Dordt 87-83.
Saturday's semifinals will feature top seed Northwestern hosting #4 Morningside and two seed Hastings will host #3 Concordia. Both games will tip off at 3pm.
GPAC Championship Tuesday will be on Tuesday, March 5. The GPAC Postseason Tournament Champion garners an automatic berth to the NAIA National Basketball Tournament (the runner-up gains the berth if the regular season champion (top seed Northwestern) wins the postseason).
64 teams will make the NAIA Men's Basketball Postseason this year. Games will be played at First and Second Round Sites on March 15-16 (four team pods). The 16 opening round site winners will play in the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship is set for March 21-26, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri, at Municipal Auditorium.
