Mak Hatcliff of Doane University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women’s basketball player-of-the-week. Hatcliff, a junior from Beatrice, Nebraska, broke the single-game Doane scoring record with 46 points in a road win at Peru State. In the game, she set the school record for free throws made, going 17-of-17, and field goal percentage in a game (70%). Her 20 points in the 4th quarter helped erase a 10-point deficit with 6:49 to play. She recorded a double-double, adding 14 rebounds in the game. Hatcliff then added 24 points in a road win at York. For the week, she averaged 35.0 points on 72.7-percent shooting from the floor.
